At Open Water, we conduct all aspects of our work with integrity, transparency and respect for the law. We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards bribery, corruption or any form of unethical inducement – whether direct or indirect – across all our global partnerships.
We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including clients, partners, suppliers, associates, contractors and referrers. This includes full compliance with all relevant anti-bribery and anti-corruption legislation, such as the UK Bribery Act 2010.
While we welcome advocacy, referrals and introductions as a natural part of how our reputation grows – including those from people inside the organisations we support – to maintain transparency and fairness:
→ We do not offer any financial or material incentives for referrals made by individuals currently employed within companies we work with or are seeking to work with.
→ Incentivised referrals – a connector fee – are accepted only from external individuals with no current employment ties to the client organisation.
→ All participants in our Connector Circle – our formal referral programme – sign a short agreement and NDA to ensure ethical compliance and clarity. This policy helps protect the integrity of our work, avoid conflicts of interest and uphold the trust placed in us by our clients.
Questions about our approach to ethics or referrals? We welcome open dialogue.
